Praslin is the second largest island of the Seychelles and probably one of the most beautiful and one of the most endearing. Indeed, it is more developed than La Digue and more relaxing than Mahe where the agitation is relatively strong around the Seychelles Capital: this is the ideal compromise.

Of the three main islands of the archipelago, Praslin is the one that best embodies the Seychelles paradise. More relaxed than Mahé, La Digue more developed than it brings together all the components of a Garden of Eden: the beaches that rival beauty in a turquoise symphony, hills languidly who complete their race in berries at the perfect curvature, scalloped shores of glaze (granite blocks) in shades of pink and little roads that crisscross made good by bus or car. Praslin is really the ideal destination for romantic strolls. The island also has its reputation to the Vallée de Mai, a unique plant sanctuary in the world, which grows in the sea coconut. Its fruits unusual shapes, the coco de mer, became a symbol of the archipelago . A few miles from the coast, the lagoon is sprinkled other islands worthy of postcards: Cousin, Curious, Barren and St. Pierre island. In these models ecotourism destinations, one can snorkel and get close to the birds and turtles. Get more active dive on one of the many sites readily available around Praslin.

If the heat is to go all year on Praslin, the presence of trade winds should make you cautious in choosing your accommodation, depending on the season. In general, these winds on the south coast from May to September and on the north coast from November to March. During these periods, the algae make deposits in some places considerably less pleasant swimming. April and October mark between seasons and are considered the most pleasant. If you wish to travel to neighboring islands, know that sea turtles nest on the shores between October and February / March and qu’Aride will visit in general that from September to April (because of the heavy swell of the rest year).

Wonders abound and it can be difficult to choose between the different places to visit.

There are only two villages in Praslin and one of them is in Grand Anse. Yet nothing disturb your peace! Indeed, there are a few little shops, hotels and restaurants.

The beach stretches over 2km and is gorgeous:  white sand, turquoise sea! A pleasure to walk down the beach.

For those who are passionate about or who just want to learn to dive, there are some great spots to throw as around the island! The latter is one of the symbols of Seychelles as it really is an idyllic place!

Basically, you can relax in this small village where walking, swimming and diving occupy your day!

Praslin Seychelles

The Vallee de Mai is a beautiful forest on the UNESCO World Heritage list. This is the only place where there is a tree called the coconut sea products which fruit to erotic forms: cocos-ass! It is the emblem of Praslin and even Seychelles!

Vallée de Mai is visited very easily by borrowing the marked trails. Distances and gradients are low. We can easily do so by family. beautiful palm It shows, birds, small rivers, large roots, etc. so we believe in full virgin forest! Small anecdote: at the entrance, the courses are described with estimated time! You can simply divide the time by 4 unless you decide to do the route on their hands!

Anse Lazio Seychelles

Anse Lazio is north of Praslin and is easily accessible by bus. This is the perfect beach as we imagine: sand-like powder, palm flowing on the sand, calm waters protected by the bay, rocks at each end which look like cardboard scenery, an ideal place for snorkeling!

Unfortunately, in 2011, two shark attacks in Praslin on this beach came tarnish the quiet and idyllic side of this place! Not enough to no longer worry about more than that since it is extremely rare facts and we must not think about it and enjoy.
