The beach is located in the north of Mauritius in the village of Pereybere.  It is one of the many seasides in Mauritius with beautiful sands and calm lagoons. Arriving at the beach, you will find a lot of casuarinas trees around the borders of the shore. Photographers will have a nice playground and good photo shoot opportunities.

But the reason this beach is first in our top 10 is because it is very safe for families with small children. In fact, the lagoon is very calm and shallow at the beginning. You will not find any corals that will hurt your foot in the waters. As a result, you can run and walk carefree at the starting point of the shoal.

Furthermore, there are coast guards roaming in the area while there are great numbers of inhabitants bathing in the waters. Therefore one can let their babies play on the beach with no worries. 2. Trou aux Biches Beach, Mauritius

Trou aux Biches is situated in the north west of Mauritius. It has one of the most gorgeous beach in the island. Many hotels are available there and plenty of water sports and adrenaline rush activities are also proposed. The quality of the sand is phenomenal, powder-like while the beach gives a beautiful picturesque view, being decorated by coconut trees around the borders.
Being home to many beautiful and multicoloured corals and different types of fishes, the sea offers the most spectacular snorkelling experience.

Beau Vallon is situated on the north west of Mahé Island. It is the most renowned and largest beach in Mahé Island. The beach is clean and is home to some white crabs which can be seen early in the morning. At night, you can have a romantic walk over the beach while the small waves crush against your legs just as we see in the movies.

Moreover, the waters are deep enough for swimming although you will have to keep your eyes opened for fishermen’s boats. Coconut trees and takamaka trees can be found along the beach with good picturesque view.

The Blue Bay beach is situated south east of Mauritius. A very beautiful beach, with the sand white merging with the light blue lagoon following the dark blue deep sea. Its lagoon is very deep while not being very suitable for small children to go swimming without proper surveillance.
You have a wide parking space to park your vehicle but the parking area is not in so good conditions. One may sunbath on the spacious beach or may rest in the shades of the casuarinas trees while other average swimmers can go for a swim in the attractive turquoise waters of blue bay.
Snorkelling will be quite an experience there. The waters are crystal clear, making the wide variety of fishes, crabs and other sea animals easily spotted.

9. Ile aux Cerfs

Around the east coast of Mauritius, you can take a boat for a trip to the Island of Ile aux cerfs, a small island surrounded by good quality sand with nice waters .

However, be careful where you land your foot in the lagoon. You might step on sea urchins which when sting, hurt extremely. The natural habitat there was preserved and so provides a wonderful snorkelling experience.
