The Seychelles is a prized destination among honeymooners and holiday goers. It is a country scattered among 115 islands, although only a few are populated. Some unusual dishes that you may encounter during your holiday in the Seychelles are: Rousettes which are fruit bats cooked in various styles, shark chutney, and Ladob which is made from sweet potatoes and ripe plantain and may include cassava, corosso or breadfruit. There is also a salty version of the latter which is usually served with salted fish.

Palm wine, which is also named calou, an alcoholic beverage made from coconut sap.
Bacca, which is an alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane liquor.
Coco d’amour, which is a coconut liqueur made with coconut extract.

The capital of the Seychelles, Victoria is the ideal place to go shopping for souvenirs to bring back from your holidays. There, you will find a lot of local products crafted from sea shells as well as locally-fabricated pearl jewelry and various artworks such as paintings and sculptures. By renting a car in Mahé, you will have no problem getting around the capital and all around Mahé Island.
Visit the Vallee de Mai on Praslin Island
The Vallée de Mai on Praslin Island is an ecological reserve classified as a world heritage site. It is especially known for being one of the largest forests of the endemic coco-de-mer palm trees. It is also home to several rare animal species of the Seychelles.
Go snorkeling and SCUBA diving
The Seychelles are one of the best places of the planet to go SCUBA diving and snorkeling. Its islands have some of the most preserved lagoons and coral reefs that can be found anywhere. Lucky divers will have the opportunity to swim with giant whale sharks and among manta rays.
Go to the beach
The Seychelles islands are known all over the world for their magnificent beaches. Most of them are undeveloped and will be mostly deserted when you get there, giving you all the privacy you need. It will be practically impossible to take a bad picture of the beaches of the Seychelles once you’re there.
During your holidays in the Seychelles, you will have the opportunity to rent yachts as well as sailboats and go on mini-cruises or island-hopping. Renting a yacht will allow you to visit the islands as you please and have the opportunity to observe the dolphins and whales at close range.
